Fort Lauderdale's Craft Beer Scene Continues to Brew

We are all about a local craft beer (or two) and have been super-fans of Riverside Market and Craft Beer Cartel for years. And, now, our new official obsession is here, Tarpon River Brewing! The downtown area of Fort Lauderdale continues to grow with the development of restaurants, retail, apartments, condos and now breweries, making the area a desirable neighborhood to call home.

Now, back to beer. Tarpon River Brewing is Fort Lauderdale’s fifth brewery and is the brainchild of local beer aficionado Julian Seigal. Yes, the same beer lover behind Riverside Market and Craft Beer Cartel. The brewery space is a former horse stable that dates back to the early 1920’s. Paying tribute to the history of the area, the tap room features classic, old-Florida design using reclaimed and restored barn wood that perfectly plays off of the golden-hued Coppers that are home to a variety of specialty drafts. A total of 16 taps offer beer enthusiasts the chance to taste the brewery’s original beers that range from session-style IPA’s to a simply delicious and smooth morning express stout.

The new taproom and brewery is open daily at 8 a.m. You can also grab breakfast, lunch or dinner thanks to a partnership with The Restaurant People. We’ll cheers to that!
